On behalf of AMVETS Post 2000, I would like to say
thank you and commend you for the effort taken to
help Veterans and help return America to real
Americans such as you and I. You are absolutely right
when you say that support for Veterans has been on
the decline for a long time and, like you, we at AMVETS
are working to help change that. To me, there are few
things more satisfying than a person coming up to me
with hand extended and saying, "thank you for your
service". I especially get a kick out of it when a kid
does that. I think "Another real American in the
making!"
I will pass this along to the membership at our next
meeting, as well as your CD offer, and pass along your
kind words of gratitude, and thank you for helping to
keep the American way going! May God truly bless
you and yours.

I have a son in the US Marine Corps
and he is stationed in Iraq. I am also
a Blue Star Mother of America and a
teacher's aide in a Sr. High school. I
just want to thank you from the
bottom of my heart for this song!
I see the students who are so
disrespectful everyday during the
pledge and it breaks my heart,
especially because my son is in
such grave danger at all times just
to allow them the freedom to not
stand and do the pledge! Even if I
say something, it does no good.
Most of what they do comes from
their home life.
So, I thank you for such a beautiful
song and I hope it can be heard
across this great nation, especially
this important weekend - Memorial
Day.
God Bless our men and women who
are fighting for our freedom and for
those who have lost their lives. And
God Bless you for seeing this!

I have called a lot of
servicemen and women today
to thank them for serving this
great country of ours and you
are the only person who has
thanked me today. I will never
forget!

Thank you for letting me know
about this wonderful song. I will
definitely spread the word about it .
Much easier to get the song
known if I have it to play for
people. I will also call a friend of
mine that just so happens to be a
DJ for the local Country station
here and ask him to play it.
Hopefully they will have it. If not, I
will let him know how to get it.
Please pass my most heartfelt
thanks to Jeff and Steve for
writing such a wonderful song.
May you all have a wonderful
Memorial Day!
Barbara - New York
Wow, praise the Lord,
that is awesome, it
should be played on

wonderful song, I have been working
with our wounded, injured and
critically ill service members since
2003 and those words are exactly right!
I pray that America will wake up and
see the light and treat our Veterans
with the respect and honor so
rightfully due them.
Thank you and I hope this song makes
it big!

Let us all remember in our
hearts that if we do not respect
the Flag then we show
disrespect to the soldiers who
have died defending our country
and spreading freedom for
anyone who desires freedom
and self-respect and honor!
Anyone who wants to be the
president of the United States
should wear the symbol of
freedom and honor our men and
women who died for our country
defending the Flag of the United
States of America!
Ron - Florida
I love this and couldn't agree more and think it is a shame
that America can't be proud to still stand on what it was built
upon. Thank you guys and I will try and get out some emails
as soon as I can. It is truly a shame that the very thing
American was built upon and the things it stood for are the
very things that in some ways are trying to be taken away
today.
Thank you again and I hope many read and listen, beautiful
job:)
Much love to you both,
Ginger:)

We curl up in our warm beds at night,
free to say what we want, free to go
where we want, free to buy our ipods,
remember some one died to give you
that.
And to those ignorant enough to burn
our flag, you are not imprisioned,
tortured or executed for this.....
and the reason for that is symbolized
by the flag (freedom), pretty
hypocritical.

Thank you so much for your email,
I rarely look into things that people
send to me but I'm so glad that I
did. By the time I got through the
America the Beautiful portion on
the long version I was in tears.
Your song is so beautifully put, and
is so needed for this country right
now! We need more moral fiber in
all ages. My prayers are with you
both and I will definitely be calling
my radio staions!

THANK YOU ANDREW FOR THE AWESOME DRAWING YOU DID FOR US!

Here (above) is a picture my youngest son Andrew brought home
from school, he said he made it for "THE FLAG" song. With all
the debate on whether to have "GOD" in our Pledge of Allegiance
(if having the Pledge at all) at least they still have it at his school.
I remember when I was growing up, there was alot more respect
for everything, we have lost so much. I wish that my children
could grow up in the world that I grew up in.
Everything has become so materialistic and the teachings of
"RIGHT AND WRONG" are changing to "ANYTHING GOES," our
whole society has lost its way.
We, who are old enough, can remember a different day. The really
bad part about our current situation is that it is threatening to get
alot worse, many young people don't realize what's at stake.
We need to go back to our roots and our values and those of the
Founding Fathers, to stand up for, and to remember, what made
"This nation under God with liberty and justice for all."
I pray that more people will wake up before it's too late.
"THE FLAG" has a very important statement that it is making, I
wish every American could hear it and be reminded of what a
great nation we have been so blessed to grow up in and how
important it is to keep our liberty and not take it for granted like so
many people do.
I'm afraid that many people will only understand what they had
after its gone.

get to know more about what Independence Day
really means because of the song "The "Flag"

I can't tell you how this touched my
soul. I sat and cried as I listened to
this. The moral compass of the United
States is in great peril. I hope
people really listen to this song as it is
such a great reminder of how
things used to be and ought to stay.
We live in the greatest country in the
world and it is of vital importance that
people remember how we got here.

Some food for thought, for the critics of their own country and their pals from
elsewhere who share their same ideals and hopes for its demise. Those who
show complete disrespect for "The Flag of The United States of America,
"OLD GLORY" and the freedom loving country for which it stands. It's a
republic, that is one nation under God with liberty and justice for all. America
is not a perfect nation. No country in this complex world can achieve that.
The U. S. government has not always done exactly what's correct in either
domestic or foreign affairs, but many of the people in it have tried to do that.
Many people don't know that the American Government gives out more
foreign aid than any other nation on earth, often to the people of countries
whos governments don't like the U.S. Also U.S. citizens, (made up of
heritages from all over the world), privately give more than any other people
on the planet, when less fortunate ones around the world are stricken by
natural disasters and other misfortune. This does not make us better than
anyone else, for one thing we have much to give, but it does show basic
good heartedness. On another subject, just think what the world would be
like if the U.S.A. had not been there in WWII, when England and her allies
were just hanging on. With America joining in the fight with it's industry and
serviceman risking and giving their lives, it stopped the dictatorial regimes in
Europe and the East from conquering and enslaving most of the world. Then
after winning the war the U.S. didn't enslave these countries that lost, but
helped them rebuild and to be free and prosperous nations. Would the other
side have done the same? Do you think S. Korea would like to have been
over taken by the attacking communists from the north in 1951. From 1951 to
1953 many tens of thousands of a Americans gave their lives there to stop
that from happening and still guard the border to the north to this day. No
peace treaty was ever signed, just a ceasefire. Now S. Korea is a free and
prosperous country, but just to the north is a nut job dictator running N.
Korea, a man who spends what little his country has on himself, his closest
buds, who surely fear him and his army, while the masses live in squalor.
Imagine this, if America had not stood eye ball to eye ball with the
communists for a ½ century of the cold war…what might have happened ?
During this time many American pilots died in the Berlin airlift. There's never
been much mention of there sacrifice when the Soviets cut off W. Berlin in
1948 leaving millions of people to starve and freeze. The U.S. didn't start a
nuclear war, but at it's own expense and with many lives & planes lost, flew
in thousands of tons of supplies to W. Berlin from 1948 to 1949 till the
Russians finally gave up and reopened the city. There have been countless
other times America has come to other peoples' aid. Sure America hasn't
always got it just right, but it tries and where would the world be with out it.
The U.S. acknowledges and tries to make up for the obscenities of the
slavery of Africans in the 17 and 18 hundreds and the terrible walking over of
native Americans rights that took place also. As well as the ridiculousness
time it took to pass laws giving women equal rights to vote etc...In spite of
these errors in judgment and morals by some in the past in a time gone by
and even some pretty lame ideas of some of the less than enlightened today,
America is a noble nation. With much to it's credit! On another issue some
people and groups nowadays try to use Americas' freedoms to find loop
holes for dummy corporations and so called no-profit organizations to raise
money in America and funnel it right back to terrorist groups that have
attacked and openly called for Americas' destruction. This is lunacy and
maybe some loop holes should be closed. We all have voices, the right to
vote, email, telephone, and pester our elected officials, if we say and do
nothing at all, it is impart "our fault" if things don't get better regarding this.
On the grand scale of things I'm glad and proud to be an American and
frankly can't see how the world would have survived the dangerous 20th
century with out it. For the zealous critics of America, its traditions, values
and culture, answer this. If America is so bad, then why is it that, more than
any other country on earth, it's bursting at the seams with people trying to
get in …both legally…and illegally?…and be Americans…They don't have
this problem
in Cuba!

I love the way your song “The Flag” pays homage to those who
have sacrificed for this countries freedom & speaks of the
things about “The Good old days”. I’m aware, as I’m sure you
are, things weren’t perfect, but we can learn from history & keep
the best parts, there were so many great things from that time &
mind set. I kind of miss when you often heard, “Yes Sir” & “No
thank you Mam”. The song made me think of that too. It makes
me want to ask many people, do you believe in the American
way of life with its’ traditional values, in its’ melting pot
wonderful culture, formed from years of entrepreneurially
enterprise, at times struggle & strife, of reasonable
compromises of many hard working people & its’ treasured
iconic American symbols? Those ones, that nowadays it
seems, if you stand up for their right to exist, religious or not,
you are often labeled a backward thinking nut. Ever feel we
might be getting pushed around a little, for the sake of political
correctness, in our own country by some of our latest
immigrants, at times very presumptuously and with the help of
some of our less than enlightened citizens, that it maybe
includes an agenda for the remolding America to suit their
extreme views without regard to majority of Americans views or
welfare. Does it seem that some of the lastest to arrive feel
entitled to rearranged things in the USA to suit the whims of a
culture they left behind, in a homeland they chose to leave to
come to America. What happened to respect for the long held
tradition, when emigrating to America meant assimilating into
its’ culture, learning its’ laws, traditions (even respecting them)
& yes learning its’ language?
“English”. Question...Don’t even try the math unless you were
the wiz kid of all time! How many billions have been spent on
translators & multi or bilingual directions for just about
everything by all the government & private run institutions &
industries ie; prisons, DMVs where people get licenses to drive
on streets they can’t read the street signs of, the hospitals,
factories, schools, (with the necessary changes to be politically
correct & follow the now mandated laws) on & on etc…Have
you been to court of any kind lately & seen all the tax payer paid
translators with a job, pretty cool ?
Have you ever seen the well documented pictures of
immigrants from the Ellis Island era who after getting to
America, went standing in line to take English speaking
classes? Nowadays there’s Rosetta stone language training
that NASA, The US army, The State Dept.& fortune 500
companies use to teach people a second language quite easily
& inexpensively! There’s not much of an excuse these days for
not learning the language of the land. I’m sure if they asked, the
non-English speaking people entering The USA would get
"The Rosetta Stone" DVDs & players, from the US Government,
on our dime. It would preserve a little bit of America & be a lot
less expensive than the billions that have been wasted on the
status quo. Not counting all of the other things one can think
of, do you think that just the changing out of every bank
machine in the USA & then setting up of press 1 for English
phone systems has cost as much as the gross national product
of many countries we give food to that then, with no provisions
or help with birth control, continue to over populate & come to
America?

Good morning Ridler Brothers,
I listened to The Flag, it is a beautiful
song. Love it.
Myspace friend.
I loved the Flag song! Now don't get
me started on politics because I would
love for you to come and scoop up all
the illegals we have in Cali.
Loved the music, keep singing. Why
don't you send a tape to the White
House, I'm sure some of the politicians
would love to listen to Americans
views.

I absolutely believe in "THE FLAG" and what
the USA used to stand for. I definitely want to
see it get back to that!
I am actually looking into going back into the
military, imagine that at 39 years old, married
with 5 children and going back to the military to
serve God and Country!?!?!
Be Blessed,
David

God Bless you guys for saying the things
that need to be said. I have an audio file
about Francis Scott Key and the story of our
National Anthem... I get choked up every
time I hear it.
People always thank us (service members)
for what we do...I think it's people like you
that deserve the thanks as well. While we
may face physical dangers, it's people like
you & my friend Gracie who have taken up
the cause of supporting us & help us to
remember that there are people in our
country that understand the sacrifices being
made... that LOVE our country as much as
we do...true patriots, united by something
greater than all of us. I only hope there are
enough of you to keep everything I hold
dear from falling apart.
God Bless you and our country.
Most Sincerely,
LCDR John M. USN
Stopping in to tell you that "THE FLAG"

P.S. I don't remember much about my dad, but
I do remember the flag folded in perfection,
given to my mother. A flag we still treasure
today.
I just love the video. Would you mind if I put it on my bulletin? I think we all need to hear this. Brings pride in all of us for this free land of ours. No one has the freedom as we have. Senaf, Florida
