The Story of the "The Flag"
"The Flag" was written after catching a part of Sean
Hannitys' "Man on the Street". He was talking to people
about what their country meant to them, various issues &
Americas' many freedoms etc...After Sean politely posed a
question to a young man, he curtly replied back to Sean
"NO... WHAT HAS AMERICA EVER DONE FOR ME"?
Going from anger to sadness to disbelief, Jeff grabbed a
guitar, went to the back room and started writing a song.
A little later he was joined by his brother Steve. They fine
tuned it, arranged it & then with disbelief at the young
mans attitude and with the strong feelings of their own for
America, came out with . . ."THE FLAG"
The song talks about traditional values, the Pledge of
Allegiance, with its under God line, patriotism, respect for
our armed services and the many precious things about
AMERICA with its' many freedoms. Many of its' words,
literally coming Jeff & Steves real life experiences and
quite likely. . . many of yours too!

in scope & nature re: the nations very survival. Do we face that in todays battles, like the battle
that turned the tide of the American Civil War. This song looks at the parallels from then to
now - with the agents of change being slightly different i.e., freedom of speech, the right to vote
& the willingness to use those rights, instead of the guns and cannons of Gettysburg ? Per a
line in the song, "WE PRAY OUR CHILDREN'S FATE IS NO FIELD, LIKE A DEAD MANS
FIELD AT GETTYSBURG". The government needs to start listening to the will of the people as
we take our stance peacefully.
"MADE IN AMERICA" a song & an upcoming CD title. The song will also be on
the CD "The Flag," a promo CD. This song will also be on 2 other CD's this year by R&R Music
Recordings, Orlando. Including of course the upcoming CD "Made in America".
On the Video & Song page you, along with other newer recordings & videos will find the Audio & video of
Ridler originals like "THE FLAG", which is done in several arrangements... A series of the song
with various tempos and styles, but the same words & message. All of it's versions are about keeping our
freedoms, how our country is being
rearranged, about the respect we need to show those who have & do sacrifice so much for our freedoms.
"History Repeats Itself" " Is an account of a free market democratic republics methods
vs those of Marxist/socialistic ones, depicted in a historical, artistic formate" (a common theme
of FNCs Glenn Beck).
"Keep the Change" ! A satirical debate between a
conservative & a leftist. After all this seriousness on such important matters, it seemed time for some
comic relief. It takes a few jabs at those very liberal, some would say, progressive socialistic ideals &
agenda that could destroy our democratic republics last chance e.g., "The United States Constitution".
Also coming, the serious, but fun, play on words "Have a Party"
The Ridlers writing of “The Flag” song was inspired in large part, by a nasty, ungrateful remark about
America from a young man, while he was interviewed on the
street by “SEAN HANNITY”. This, along with Jeff & Steve Ridlers own
feelings about America, compelled them to write "The Flag" & then they followed this with a compilation
of "MAKE YOU THINK" songs & videos to try to help our country.
These songs spell out much of their own beliefs in a real free democratic republic.
One of Jeff & Steve's biggest influences is “CHARLIE DANIELS”, another quite patriotic sort of fellow, seen
above on this page, when “The Ridler Brothers” played their first concert with Daniels, in the 90s.
Along with Charlie, Jeff & Steve in the picture above are guitarists Darren Wayne & James Michael
Thomas.
Both brothers say they can’t ever recall meeting a more decent, down to earth man than Daniels, even
with the dozens of major stars they’ve performed with. They were impressed that the living legend, super
talented singer/writer/musician was so humble & just plain friendly, while visiting a bunch back stage,
prior to stepping out.
Jeff & Steve also say while creating the minor chord arrangement of “The Flag” (The Carolina cut) aka...
